Radio Classrooms of America

Destiny emerges for Radio Classroom Students

Radio Classrooms of America offers a unique opportunity to develop leaders and public speakers. The brain and heart child of Dr. Valerie Anne Kirkgaard, RCA is a two pronged approach to create educational experiences for the team who produce and host the programs and the listeners who listen.

The parent company of Kirkgaard & Associates has created a radio series called Waking Up In America. Currently, Waking Up In America is heard on the internet on and KTBL in Albuerque and WMNY in Buffalo. Both shows can be heard on the internet by going to and selecting the listen link from the top of the home page.

Our listeners and students show something in common. They fall into a category of people who have been identified as Cultural Creatives. If you would like to know the details of this group, you may read about them in the book, The Cultural Creatives: How 50 Million People are Changing the World , by Paul H. Ray and Sherry Ruth Anderson, Harmony Books, 2000, 325 pages. By the number of pages in the book, it is evident there is a lot you can say about us.

The average listener is college educated, interested in personal, local, national and global community. We are interested in the evolution of culture and we love to create family, share tips, and have conversations with people who are tops in their professions or avocations. If you check our guest list on the home page you will see the highest quality of conversations are available here, all the way from Olympic Champion Billy Mills, to Broadway legend Carol Channing, to consumer advocate David Horowitz, John Denver, Dennis Weaver, Senator Alan Cranston, Mark Spitz, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Robert and Barbara Muller and Lita Albuququere.

At Radio Classrooms of America, excellence prevails. Students who sign on for our hands-on, weekly, 4 year program have the opportunity to develop many skills through the two programs we produce. One might consider what we are doing as on air labratories.

Waking Up In America is broadcast live and taped for distribution at Segments are 5 minutes in length. This 5 minute segment offers special training opportunities. For example, one might develop the ability to speak with greater distinctions in language or develop focus, concentration and content. Issues that come up on the morning radio for refinement are:

  • Time
  • Team
  • Presentation
  • Effectiveness
  • Accomplishment
  • Relationships
  • Resources
  • Program Structuring
  • Intention & Development

Radio team students learn timing, program development, team, purpose and get great Rolodex listings from the guests they invite and meet on our radio programs.

In addition, Dr. Kirkgaard provides a weekly team call and individual consulting for each student to perfect and refine the leadership and content message they are delivering.

Team members report miracles in their lives from radio show and team participation. Before each program and team call, a prayer is said that we may bring forth that which best for ourselves, our team, our audience and our world. Initiated in 1987, this formula is truely working.
